motor plates??

hey does anyone have any ideas on how to make motors plates for a small block a body?? i found some on big block dart but im trying to different ways! i want to got with the plates over mounts for now to save me some money im coverting a slant 6 dart to a 360 and i dont have the money to buy the shumaker mounts right now so im gonna make some plates and use them for a while then il get the motors mounts later thanks kevin!

I have looked at it before & came uo with no good idea what to attach the plates to on a small block

I've never used motor plates, but it seems to me that the cost would end up being more than the Schumacher mounts in the long run.

The small block plates are close to the same money because they fit between the water pump and timing cover on them. Much more material and much more time to manufacture. Buy the schumachers, or if you have a welder, fab up something of your own, but make sure the engine is positioned correctly or nothing header/exh wise will fit right.

I would go with the Schumacher mounts over the motor plate any day.  The plate itself might be cheaper than the mounts, but then you still need some sort of mount for the plate, and now you are running into the problem of lining everything up correctly.  If you are even just a little bit off on the angles, then parts will wear improperly.

alright thanks guys i guys the mounts it is!!! thanks for your help im gonna go ahead and order them wiper pivot water seals while im ording i need them to!!
