Pacifica Wheel bearing change
« on: May 08, 2009 - 02:49:10 PM »
I've a 2004 Pacifica as a daily ride, it needs a rear driver side brg ass'y. NAPA cost is $356 CDN, found one on carjunky.com for $138 US with Timkin Brg ass'y . Is this a good deal or is quality a problem, and whats involved to change this? I've never pulled a new rear axle before, it's all wheel drive......thx.....dk

It's probably the same as the front on the FWD cars with a big nut you have to remove, then some bolts around the bearing housing. It's kinda self explainatory how it comes off when you look at the new bearing and the old one on the car. Nothing tricky.

It took me an hour to put one in the front on my Daytona.  :dunno:  Here's pics of mine and yours.
