I have one pair of these heads from the  HEMI deal. -2946270-  now 2945270 are D3's according to HEMI.com. The man did not know what they were from, but claims they were new and was offered a few grand cash for them some years ago. Which he regreatablby did not take. The man who offered the cash claimed to know what they were but would not tell him. I have one intake and one exhaust valve somewhere in the boxes for these and they are HUGE!   They do appear to be never used! Now what are they :dunno: ??

I looked and found that they are supposed to be D3 heads as well. Apparently any Hemi heads with a D designation were experimental heads. Here is a little info I found on the D series.

Dude, those things have 2.38 in. Intake valves!

It looks like you found some extremely rare hemi heads my friend!

I got the story on the parts going in the off topic section. This was an all or nothing deal!  :grinyes: I have tried to find more info on these since posting this last night. I haven't found anything yet.  :grinno:  Maybe its time for a new shop magnet contest!  :icon16:

Ok, lets compare these heads. Head on bottom is the one were looking at, the one on top is just good ol' HEMI. Look at the ports and chambers.  :22yikes: In the shot of the valves, they are obviously bigger  :grinyes:

I have been trying to do research on these myself... Call to Maurice Petty's shop... no response. A detailed email to MOPAR Muscle... no response  A call to Roy at B-J (he's in change of the stuff that doesn't drive across the stage)... no repsonse.   :walkaway:

I also have some stuff on EGAG, just things I've had time to look thru... Din't post on here cause well frankly not allot of HEMIS here... But if your curious to see what else is happening so far...  :dunno:

You might try emailing Ehrenberg, he seems to know about stuff like that.  Cool heads for sure
