Hood problems
« on: July 09, 2004 - 03:23:11 AM »
The hood I bought from a swap meet no longer has the floating nuts in it.  You know, the threaded pieces that are inside the hood that bolts it to the hinges.  It just has holes in the metal there now.  At one of the locations there is about a 1" diameter hole.  What can I do to it to get this hood to bolt up to my hinges?

I don`t think you have any choice but to cut into the frame of the hood & weld in new nuts or a plate with nuts welded to it
