1968 440 for sale
« on: May 13, 2009 - 11:00:54 PM »
1968 440 out of a GTX.   :wow:  This motor had about 10,000 miles on a rebuild when I pulled it to go racing over 20 years ago.  The motor with carb has been in the garage ever since.  I poured 8 quarts of oil in it when I parked it.  I also sprayed oil in the spark plug holes from time to time.  I've turned it over with a starter a few times but never checked for oil pressure. $1500 or make a resonable offer.  You will pay the freight or you can pick it up.  I'm in North Platte, NE.  I also have a few other parts for sale including Draglite wheels with tires, 8  3/4 rear end from a 72 Barracuda, four speed for a Duster, and axles from an  8 3/4 out of a Duster drilled for a large bolt pattern.  I will have pictures if you need them.

Drivers side of the block has a 253630 6 cast into it.
Passenger side has a 2536430 6 in big numbers and then there are smaller numbers above it that end in 18 66.  I will have to take the exhaust manifold off to get a better look.

What are the cast #s on the exhaust manifolds? What is the vin stamped on the pad right above the oil pan rail? Is there another number before the 18 66?
