How much more can I take????
« on: May 28, 2009 - 06:12:11 PM »
After getting screwed by the first body shop ( after 2.5 years and lots of $$$$) I found a new guy who is great. THen the new rear window doesn't fit, I have the wrong hood latch assembly, I bought hood hinges(ebay), sent for resto and they come back with no springs. After missing many parts and alot of ebay deals gone wrong ( wrong seat belts, dash pieces etc) I go to get my headliner in today and it is the wrong one or just doesn't fit. My engine came in1800 over . restoing a car builds character. I would like to add that all the goo people here with stuff, info and parts is a bright side to it all.

I know how it goes , I have virtually everything redone waiting to go back into the car but the body shop is taking their time doing their part , I was supposed to have the body back by March & they are nowhere near done yet  :banghead: :pullinghair:

I have seen the same thing with shops in the past.  Glad to hear that you found a good one.  I took my car to a really "good" shop (that's what everyone told me) and the guy didn't touch my car for 6 months and stashed all of my new uncoated sheetmetal outside in the rain.  :poopoke:  I could have rung that guys neck...

Anyway, I gave up on "shops" period and started my own at home!   :working:  What I found out is that I am slow too...  :roflsmiley:

I have been 6 years and still don't have it painted.

Hang in there...
