couple of questions
« on: May 24, 2009 - 05:22:10 PM »
I'm go to have the stripes painted on the side of my Challenger like the R/T stripes only without the RT.  Can someone give me some approximate measurements?  Like how wide at the end.  How far apart. Do they taper out the whole way back.  Second question: Is the 71 go wing the same for Cuda and Challenger?

1) I can't help with the stripes...

2) The wings are the same, but I believe the mounting brackets are different.

Thanks,

Daniel

Why not just buy the stripes? The vinyl stripes are much easier than painting.

My friend wants to paint them.  He does good work.  This way he can blend them in gloss and there won't be any ridges. I'm not worried about exact. Just close.

I have the non-R/T '71 side stripes on my car. If nobody jumps in here, I'll let you know tomorrow.

I'm back with measurements.

The stripes have a 1/4" gap between them that doesn't vary from front to back.

Starting up front, the bottom stripe is 3/4", and the top stripe is 7/8". At the gap between the fender and door, the stripes measure... Bottom is 1 3/4", top 1 7/8". At the gap between the door and rear side panel... Bottom is 2 1/8", top is 2 1/4". This measurement is the same at the end of the rear quarter window. In other words, the small section of stripes on that rear panel doesn't widen from beginning to end.
