Glad to hear. You know we could have another huge oil boom if they let us tap our own soil. That would create alot of jobs for most of the country.

Absolutely! The Oil industry has many high paying long term jobs, unlike manufacturing a windmill or solar panel that has the job end when the product leaves the plant. Unfortunately with the Pesident and Congress we now have the chances are Zero of pumping more oil. We couldn't even do it when a drilling bill was put on Clinton's desk in the mid 90's, so there is no chance at all of this congress passing or this President signing one. They'll parrot the same ole played out line that "we won't get that oil for 8 years" They are convinced we can get our electricity and power our cars and home heaters with air or solar in a year or two and we'll all pay the tab for the new stuff that will likely come from overseas anyway. The 60%+ of the American people that want us to extract and use our own gas and oil can all just go pound sand because they know best what's good for us, even if it's unemployment and 4 or $5 gasoline. Here's some interesting statistics from the DOE. Note oil peaked in the 70's and our current oil production is at late 1940's rate and is in decline every year because we are just tapping the old wells that are now in decline. Without new wells this graph will continue to decline and put our national security at risk. YES, this is a national security issue unless we find a way to have solar powered tanks and Jeeps in real short order and are willing to fork over Billions in tax money to pay for them.

Once we had Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope & Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope and No Cash!
