What Are Everyone's Preferred Automotive Sites?
« on: June 01, 2009 - 09:32:19 PM »
Over the course of my project, i've developed a basic list of favorite sites which i constantly visit for information, confirmation, and just plain inspiration. Basically my list breaks down to three areas; forum sites, model specific sites, and personal sites. In my case those which document a person's Challenger or, even better, Challenger R/T SE. I kept my list down to three of each area in order to simplify things.

Forum sites - common sense, a specific keyword or three, and some uninterrupted search time are all that's needed.

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/
http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=0&C=1

Model Specific sites - as Joe Friday would say, "Just the facts...".
Just one. Besides the 'Links' area is the shizzle :grinyes:

Personal sites - sometimes the people no longer own these, still :smokin:

Add your personal faves - share the knowledge

I come to this site for everything. I was on Mopar Muscle Mag's forum for a while, until I asked what a windage tray was and the first reply I got was "Seriously?". I left and found this place after that. I love this forum, best place on the internet!

Some informative sites I frequent
http://users.erols.com/srweiss/index.html
http://www.competitionplus.com/
http://www.allpar.com/

The one and only....
http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/

This one's my buddy Chris from North Jersey, a Fireman, ex-Marine and true Mopar guy that used to run a 7 second Dart until he got into the ProMod game where he ran into a great deal on a more aerodynamic Vette body, so he figured "Why not a Vette with a  Hemi?" He's a multiple event winner at the "Super Chevy" race at Maple Grove and has gone as fast as 6.08

About the only one I look at is here.  Not enough time to just cruise around and look at all the sites.  Might dream every now and then is all.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

 :iagree:  Yup, me too.

Don't have that much time to peruse as much as I would want to.

I like to look at Shelby Cobra sites here and there and the odd ball "flavor at the moment" if I see a good craigslist deal....Kelmark GT kit car any one?  :roflsmiley:

Of course this site is Numero Uno!! And then there's "www.forabodiesonly.com" "www.moparts.com", "www.racingjunk.com", www.tidewatermoparclub.com and a few others that I occasionally visit.

Mostly here, with the occasional side-track as I get lost on the internet researching this, that, or the other.
