Lots of nice people with lots of knowledge here!

Do you have any pics while it was buried in the barn?  Those are cool pics!!!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

When you said "Delphi", I thought you might be a fellow Rochestarian, but obviously not.

I too am a toolmaker (Model-maker's papers and currently making molds) and I've wasted plenty of edgefinders over the years. It always sucks when you hit the "Z" button on the VMC to bring the e.f. up, wind up that handwheel at a billion miles an hour, and find that you're still in "X". ugh. They never seem to work the same after that spring inside gets all stretched out, eh?  :roflsmiley:

Anywhoo, we're looking forward to Challenger pics and more info about your car!

Thanks for the kind words and support everyone. I'm really digging this place. I had lurked for a short time before signing up and everyone seems to be respectful and knowledgeable to boot. I'm hoping that with a bit of my mechanical skill, what I've learned as a Toolmaker (quapman, I haven't hurt an edgefinder since) and you folks, I'll be able to embark on my first pseudo car restoration. After the Challenger gets back on the road, I'll eventually turn my attention towards my over neglected '71 Satellite (my first car) or just have it be a project for my son and I to work on together when he gets older. No matter what, I think it's still a great hobby whether one simply admires them from afar or gets down into the thick of tearing into an engine.

Well, I just rolled her off my buddy's trailer and she's now home. There will be many many hours of work ahead of me but I'm looking forward to it. I'll post some pics sometime this weekend.

I remember seeing those pics now. Very nice car! I love the wrap around bumpers on those cars. It would be a hard decision to make between a 70 SuperBee/Coronet or a 71 GTX/Roadrunner but either one would be a great addition. Glad you finally got your cars to your house   :2thumbs:
