useing a 618 pan on a 727

i'm getting sick of the usual leaks with the 727's. a buddy of mine give me a 618 pan and said it would solve my issues. has anyone tried this, does it work?

Use aluminium pan with normal cork gasket, torque to 150in/lbs  2times and it will be dry as hell. Assuming your trans core is good.

Yes,it is just twice as deep.
