I agree with the dicision to sell it , the car was painted & was still looking decent & hiding a lot of rust but when you know where to look the car was going to be a very expensive resto , he can do much better buying a more solid car for less than the resto would cost

Jeff I re-did my whole car and it takes time.... thats why I bought a car with all the chassis work done this time.. Ill do the engine/suspension myself though ....

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

(3 years + $25k)  vs  (10 years + $50k) 
No work  vs   lots of  work
Anticipation  vs  dread
No chasing parts, looking for lowest cost services, etc
Dont have to drag it cross country.
Dont have to worry about having a garage right away.
Not taking up every minute of your spare time either working on it, or staring forlornly at it.

Don't forget. The 71-72 Charger and Roadrunner front frame rails are the same. It's easier to find a 3rd gen b-body for donor parts than any e-body. I have a solid 71 and 72 Charger that I keep for future donor use.
