Tranny swap....
« on: June 10, 2009 - 12:25:16 PM »
I'm looking at a "temporary" summer-solution for my 727 while I decide to either sell my Cuda  :crying:, rebuild the original 727, or convert it to a 4 speed manual.

I have access to an 85 Dodge Camper Van 727 with less than 1,000 miles on a rebuild, but need to find out if it'll work for my application.

My ride is a 1972 'Cuda (BS23) 340 car.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Jim

Yes,it should work. As long as it a small block like CP said and it is not a "shorty" version. If you have a slap stick floor shifter, make sure that it has the two tab locations on the bottom of the extension housing for the bracket to bolt up.
