Problems with New Air Shocks
« on: June 13, 2009 - 03:00:28 AM »
we have installed everything correctly but when we go to put air in them everything that goes in comes out ... the air hoses came with one side having 1 O ring and the other with 2 O rings ... which side goes where ??? or is does that have anything to do with it ???

I have never had any, that had two o-rings. Did you try spraying soapy water around your connections, to see where your losing air?

Every set I've seen used a compression fitting. never seen o-ringed units. If it leaks air that quickly, you should be able to hold your hand up to teh various components and identify where the leak is, the decide what the fix is.

:clueless:  I'm curious if it's leaking from the side with 2 o-rings.... use the hand/soapy water trick to check like the others have mentioned.

I don't have experience with air shocks but I'm guessing it might be like the double o-ring that accidentally gets on an oil filter and starts leaking oil.

Are they monroe air shocks?  I can't find directions on their site to sate how many o-rings perside but you could email them....  :dunno:

Are they new?  Maybe the seal is bad on the shocks, just another thought.  Check the air lines first though.

:iagree: Sounds like that is what is happening, I am no expert but I have installed a couple sets.

Air shockers usually have one "O" ring around the hose fittings at each end, having said that air shockers are not the answer to ride height control and has been discussed at length in earlier posts.   :2cents:
