new guy fom oklahoma
« on: June 18, 2009 - 09:53:32 PM »
hello all...new guy here in the midwest.just wanted to say hi to everyone.my name is john ,im 38 married w/3 kids (aka broke)& ive just started on my 71 cuda clone project.its a 74 barracuda 318 car buckets,console,p/s,pdb,ac,bulge hood.its gonna take a little time to get pics up(im lotech) but ill figure it out.i was off last week & thought id humor myself & figure out my parts list.so hopefully ill have it built in 10 yrs.unless i dont pay the mortgage or feed & clothe anyone i think that would speed things up a bit:).i picked up a complete running 71 new yorker with 440 a couple of weeks ago on the cheap & managed to get my hands on a 71 cuda repo grille w/ inserts from a friend so atleast i seem to be moving forward for the time being.its pretty much rustfree except for a few pinholes on the pass side lower rear qtr's.its almost a shame to clone it..but ive had my heart set on a 71 since grade school so ill have a few 74 parts for sale here soon like grille, tailpanel, valance(ft & rr).anyhow have a blessed day all.

Welcome to the site.  Best car site on the Internet - most people are very polite and very helpful.  We all do a pretty good job of monitoring our own behavior and treat each other with respect.

I can't believe you posted 2 1/2 hours ago and nobody has yet mentioned that  :useless:!!

  Welcome to the Mopar family, John.  Sounds like you have a solid plan for your cuda project.  Now only if you could get some of that stimulus money.
