Well, the clear dried without a hitch, has that "permanently wet" look in some spots, just how we like it!  :bananasmi

I missed the area near the column opening, over to where the throttle pedal bolts on, as I had expected. I had the motor and master cylinder covered in sheets which were kinda wadded up over there.

I'll probably throw some color in there with a Pre-Val. It's easier than a real gun and will get into those tight spots. Need to re-mask the long brake line, since I got excited and tore it off already.  :jumping:

Here's what I've got so far:

Better pics to follow when the light is better.

Thanks!

I did the area I had missed with PreVals this morning. It was looking good until I ran the crap out of the clear. It's still curing, but I think it will be good enough. I guess I still had "real gun" technique stuck in my brain from yesterday. Fluids come out in a much higher volume in a spray can!

Will post more pics later. At least it was in a mostly hidden area.  :misbehaving:

Not sure I will tackle the whole car, but still pretty pleased with the results so far.  :swaying:

Here's the spot I missed

and the metal flake running like a scared rabbit. It still looks better than it did.

Here's a Preval in case you've never heard of one. It's basically a little spray can with a glass jar that you put your paint into. Yep, sprayer in one hand, flashlight in the other.

Looks great   :2thumbs:  And I would not worry about the spot you had to touch up.  Once the column is back in you will never see it.
