Anybody running a kickdown cable with a six-pack?
« on: November 12, 2010 - 08:48:18 PM »
I would like to replace my kickdown linkage with a cable but not sure how to make it work since a cable would have to pull rather than push like the linkage does. Pic.s would be great.

The cable I have on mine attaches on the other side of the lever on the transmission. So while the hard rod would push the lever, the cable pulls it back resulting in the same motion.

I'm running the one from Bouchillon.  Works great.  They include directions on how to modify and attach the bracket to the carb.  I used the original six pack accelerator cable bracket on my manifold.
