Just posting this as a public service announcemnet...LOL
The secondary linkage on my Edlelbrock Performer carb was missing. Now, I have been trying to flush out some driveability issues and I was thinking that linkage could help.
It finally came in the mail yesterday....and I found it when I got home from work.....WOOHOO!
So of course, like a kid at Christmas I tore open the box (summit ships a 3"x6" package in a 12"x10" box.....go figure!).....didnt even change out of my workclothes.
Well, I was in the middle of figuring out which way the linkage goes on and it slipped and fell......ever hear the sound that one of those pachinko machines make? I heard that linkage fall into that half-round hole where my eddy performer intake manifold meets the head on either side.....
Well, after some colorful language on my part
, I got out the magnet-on-a-stick and started fishing.
That didnt work so then I went and go my magnet on a bendy-stick.
No instant joy either...but eventually , somehow, and with lots of praying, IT CONNECTED and I fished it back to the surface.
Needless to say I will remember to cover that area with a rag in the future!
So anyways, why are those holes there? Saw a 73 Duster with a 340 that had a Mopar intake and the same exact holes.....is it for heat transfer or something?
