Exactly. I used to have several tilt/telescope colums that I sold at swap meets that came from Cordobas. I still have a couple of tilt columns kicking around that I haven't got around to putting in my Challenger. One is kind of loose though, so I need to get into it for a rebuild.

Loose Saginaw columns seem to be common when you just pull the lever and let the wheel bump up against the stop. Here are 2 links on repairing them. It seems that 4 screws always come loose. I'm always gentle while moving mine.

I looked at Telescopic ones in Chryslers, years ago. I passed on them because I wanted a different steering wheel and I think that you are limited on what fits on those.  I maybe wrong...

Yes, the telescoping columns use a specific steering wheel because of the locking mechanism in them. I'm sure a savvy machinist could adapt some thing else to work though.

I'll just mention this as I did not see it ...the tilt columns are sourced from GM hence the adapters SheblyDogg circled..... I wonder how hard it would be to use one from a GM?!?!

I don't know if the GMs had the "push to release" lever behind the key but it's worth looking into.  I can always draw out the wiring adapter diagram if somebody wants to cut the ends off of an old turn signal and ignition switch to splice onto the columns wiring.

The auction also listed these models that have the same column if you want to search ebay, craigslist or junk yards.
