What are the wheels called on the first Rodarunners?
« on: July 21, 2009 - 10:09:11 PM »
I'm thinking I want to try and find some for Challenger. They need to fit the wider tires though, so I need to find someone who makes wider repos. I don't know the name of them though. Thanks for the help.

If so, they are called "road wheels" aka Magnum 500s.

There is someone making them in 15" sizes I think, even 17''.

My dad bought a road runner brand new in '68. It had plain old, full size, plymouth hub caps on it with redline tires. Not the most attractive combo.

Are you talking about the "steelies" like these?  They were basically throw-aways on the road runners because most buyers would put on a new set of larger wheels/tires right after they bought the cars.

Yes, the steelies. I know they look cheap but I think they would look on a Sublime green chally with a black hood and black wheels.
