Hey Doug, whats the deal with the Daytonas you are stripping?
Are they drivable?
If they are would you be willing to move one out of your stable for a $?
(you know my situation right now as far as my jeep    )

I'm sure you still have nightmares about your yellow Chally   
Finish it whenever that day may come.....enjoy it......and that's that.
I'd dish out every last penny I had to finish my Chally, and would not give one F#@K what the final tally would be, as I would not keep track.
 Don't forget, It's a passion/love/dedication/obsession that very few in the world can understand..........not

The chance of someone as nuts as me stepping up and buying the 71 are very slim,plus my son agreed to give me a hand this weekend and we are gonna put the suspension back under it and get it off of the work dolly.As far as the daytona's go,the two white ones(an Iroc and the Iroc R/T)are mine.The third white one and the blue Iroc are stripped out parts cars now.I found that 92 daytona Iroc on CL all bodywork was done and painted and had been sitting in his garage for 4 years on jack stands,just needed to be put back together(glass,interior and ground effects) and needed an exhaust and brakes redone.I will keep an eye and an ear out for you buddy.

I pretty much agree with the restoration costs being the same but when you look further you will realize that a 71 'Cuda especially, has the potential to cost much more when you look at options that were on that car. Spoilers, road lamps, shaker hoods, rubber bumpers, louvered fenders, rear window louvers, these are just to name a few that were not available from the factory after 71. Not to mention the factory availability of big blocks, six packs and hemi's. Those in and of themselves can bring the price tag of a restoration up considerably. I also think that is the reason the 70-71 cars have and hold a significantly higher value, the potential for options and rarity are a lot greater on those cars.
