I have a plan to do up a '68 Valiant now my 'Cuda is gone. I bought a '76 Dodge 3/4 ton w/35k on it for $700 c/w 440 (propane)/727 and Dana 60. It runs and shifts nice. Diff is quiet. It's rusty, big and ugly. What have I done?

I'd say you've made a good investment....drivetrain alone is worth more than you paid
Trucks are easier projects than cars...plenty of new & used parts

I agree it looks like you made a good investment and what is in it is worth more than what you gave. Parts for the truck should be easier and cheaper to find

Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds. Still need a few parts for it. SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Clarification - drive train is coming out and the truck is going to the scrap metal yard ASAP.

Ah, you should let CP play with it for a few days, nothing like a propane 7 second pass.
