Need tranny help
« on: August 05, 2009 - 09:14:21 PM »
I just recently installed a rebuilt 727 and ran it a few miles. Then decided to install a deep mopar pan. Well dropped the oil and noticed very fine metallic shavings in the oil. Kinda like adding fine metallic dust to paint. Is this normal on a fresh rebuild or do I have a potential problem comming?
Thanks!!

I think a little bit of that is normal. However, if you start seeing larger chunks of metal there's definitely a problem.

No big flakes at all. Had new lines and radiator installed at the same time. TAC, I'll check it again after some miles and hope for the best.  :working:

Thanks everybody!!!
