Lucky or Unlucky ?

I'm not sure how to feel about this . Had my car out for about 2 hours yesterday. When I got home I backed into the drive way , opened the garage put it in gear and it died . After a short time I figured it wasn't getting gas . Just bought gas everything is new , but the gas filter was empty .Bought a new pump but had a prior dinner date . Worked on car till 12 PM last night so I could go to a show first thing this morning . Car is fixed but it is pouring out .
On the bright side the pump could have gone in traffic in town instead of my driveway . The old pump was about 2 years old but only had about 300 miles on it . Bottom line I need help . Am I lucky or unlucky so I know how to feel on this ?

Sounds like lucky. My cheap @ss fuel pump with 1658 miles on it died on me while I was setting the float levels of my 6 pack set up in the driveway. I felt lucky that the junk they made in China didn't wait a couple of weeks until I was cruising along on the Power Tour and leave me on the side of the road far from home.

LUCKY - plain & simple. Anytime any car, especially our pride and joy, decides to break down at home, in our driveway, feet from the garage is LUCKY. Then again, I'm a "the glass is half full" guy.

Lucky, lucky. Like the others have said, breaking down in front of the garage is about as lucky as you can get. The only way it could have been better is if you already had the new pump sitting on the passenger seat.

I agree with the rest. Sh!t is going to happen, but it's always nice when it happens right in front of the garage.
