Sounds as if the customer service really stinks, lucky it does run so good or you would be more pissed than you already are

I certainly want to keep the radiator since it has improved cooling.  Too bad Smith's couldn't make it right, but that is their choice.  I did drop the radiator off at a local shop refered to me by the local Mopar Club President.  They did an inspection and found another small leak at the filler neck also.  They will do the repair welds, perform pressure testing and said it would be right before it left their shop.  :2thumbs: Now that's more like it!  Guess I'll get going on the TTi install this weekend.  10 minute job right!

The undercarriage is completely undercoated so it's not a squeeky clean, show car look like so many of the awesome cars at this site.  After searching I could not find any clean pics of the finished product.  I'll work on that, but in the meantime here are a couple pics from the "work-in-progress" stage.

Yep that's my baby!  I haven't got my issue yet so thanks for the sneak peek  :2thumbs: Not sure where they got the R/T in the description since it's not an original R/T car  :clueless:  Guess it sounds good to the readers...oh well  :dunno:

I sent this to Smiths Radiator and got this reply (comments?):

ME: Was researching a new radiator for my 440 Challenger and came across this post on Cuda-Challenger.com.  This is a rather large site and this can't be good for your business.  It certainly scared me off.  Just thought you'd like to know:

TROUTSTREAMNM: "Next, the new Smiths aluminum radiator got a leak at a weld.  Unfortunately, Smiths Radiator has no real customer service and they are not returning calls, emails, or faxes for warranty repair.   Well, they can take a flying leap and I'm getting it fixed locally (figured even if I did get them to take it back, that could be the last I ever see it).  Here's a pic of the leak from a weld right on top.  You won't see me recommending Smith Radiators out of Cambridge City, IN. "

SMITHS RADIATOR:  I thank you for the heads up  I have no clue as to what this person is talking about  but if any customer was to have such a problem it would have been taken care of

Tony Smith

I know you read a bad review of my company by 1 customer and i can see
how it would leave doubts in your mind as it would mine.
If there is any thing that could be done to change your mind on you
ordering a radiator from us to make you comfortable we will work with
you to do so . Unhappy customers are NOT what we are trying to build
here. Happy cool customers are our goal At Smiths Radiator or we
wouldn't still be here after 22 years. Please give  me a call  at
888-478-5325 and we can discuss your concerns.

Thank You

Tony Smith

Sounds like an opportunity for trout to call them back up and get the money he spent on getting his rad fixed refunded. I wonder if the guy has any clue as to the group of eyes that read statements like his. His best bet for future customer satisfaction would be to make it right with the one guy so the rest of us would have faith in the company.  :2cents:

Hi Earl,

Nice car!  I haven't been on here for a while so I thought I'd have a look around.
