I bought 4 monster 12,000 LB 6 ton floor jack stands. I hope they do the trick. They are MUCH larger than the standard ones I already have.

  I can't believe how many times I changed trannies, transfers, etc without one of those.   
Since I basically work on my cars by myself,  Before I got mine, I would lay on my back and wrestle the trans to the top of my chest then try to guide it in with my arms. I'm glad they came out with that cheap trans jack.

If you want to live to see your next birthday, don't ever use concrete blocks to support your car again. You're extremely lucky that they didn't collapse. They're not made to support a car.

Not the hollow style concrete blocks....these are solid concrete blocks.......about 6 inches think, maybe 8 inches wide, 18 inches long.... :dunno:
