I should rephrase, it was human error on the salesmans part to not shut this down before it got out of hand

How?

I know when I was a kid (about 19), I test drove a 340 Challeneger and scared the pants off of the sales rep whom seemed to be about 70 years old. Bottom line was it was my foot on the pedal, not his. People have to be held accountable for their actions. I see the driver as being responsible as he was the operator, not the sales rep. Sad indeed it cost two lives!!

Yep, I agree totally. This "blame anyone but me" society is getting old. The guy driving had ultimate control, plain and simple. He is 100% at fault. We do not know that the salesman was not screaming at him to stop, what can you do if a guy has control of the vehicle?

Totally stupid for sure, but it doesn't take long to get one of these new Challengers up to 100 mph.  The Salesman may have not had much time to try and get the guy to shut it down.  :dunno:

That is very sad, but you can't cure stupidity.

You can, but the patient generaly doesn't survive the procedure.
