P Day ---A day that will live

    9-9-09   P-Day (paint day),  a day that will live on in infamy !!!!!(for me anyway)        OK  a bit dramatic but after starting this liitle project last summer and then spending what seems like a thousand hours on it this summer I finally shot some color on this pig.   I have never done any body work before so this is a big step. I am just jambing it and will have to decide if I am going to have a professional spray the outside or attempt it myself.  Fron all the little dust nibs and nats ect. that ended up in the clear shooting it in the garage is not the best option.  Here are a couple of pics. for now.  Hope to have the rest done by the end of the month.  Nothing like shiny fresh paint to get the excitement going again.  Doug

  Sure looks like your doing OK !  When Redline painted their Chally he literally built a wooden frame covered in clear plastic to help with light. He then also installed a couple box fans with furance filters, drawing and discharging ventilation. Also watered down the floor too I beleive. I'm sure the descrption and pics have long been deleted by now of his "McGiver" paint booth, the results were great.
