When the time comes to choose a paint line for the car I want to use the same product from Self Etching primer to finish paint. Who make a quality line that would cover all the steps?

I've only ever seen DuPont, IMRON, Glasurit, Akzo type name brands....

Every manufacturer has a line of goods made to work together. The keys is to stick with one line, all the way through, to ensure compatibilty and get the warranty. Go to a few shops in the area and speak to the owner/painter and see what ethy think. Aslo talk to the paint store you want to deal with - each carries a different line...

As far as I know,it's a company on it's own,I love spraying that stuff,covers alot better than PPG or Chromabase,in most cases in 2 coats,their AG-40 AUTOGLAS EURO DESIGN CLEARCOAT is amazing,no die-back,no solvent pop and flows out like glass

Use quality PPG product line throughout.  From Primer to final coat.  Please dont let anyone tell you otherwise.   PPG was also the original paint used.   PPG also controls 60% or better of the market  of finished coats used on automobiles today in original manufacturer spec.   There is a reason for that.   There are a number of Deltron applications you can use, but its important that you are on the same page as your painter.   Painters who are generally brand loyal know the ins and outs of preparing the surface, using a system they are familiar with and other important things.    He will know the temperment of the product, how to apply it, and other ins and outs.    THe Dupont man will know who best to use that particular application.   The PPG painter will know systems specific to that product line and how to achieve the best results because he applies that day in and day out and has learned from his/her failures.   I guess what I am saying is your painter will be familiar with the brand he uses regularly and apply it with the most efficiency.   Whether it be PPG, DuPont or whatever he uses.

What is the cost difference for Matrix vs. PPG?  I have been using PPG and it costs close to $1000.00 just for paint to do a complete car.

depending on the color,MSB or MPB and what clear, but on average,AG40 clear is around $150-175  per kit 7.5 liters ,$28-30 per gallon of reducer,$30-100 per quart of base,some colors may be more expensive ,but on average it's about $50 a quart, so usually it won't even cost $500 to do a car, the base covers most colors in two coats unlike watered down PPG.

no, I will use solvent based paint for as long as it's avaliable,there is just too many things needed for swith over to Aqualution  waterborne basecoat system or any waterborne paint
