Brake light switch

Anyone know if they still sell these? Napa has one but it looks nothing like mine. I have 2 connections on the back. Or does it matter where the connections are?

Ok, this is driving me up the wall. So far I have replaced the brake lights switch, fuse. The brake lights work until I get home from driving it and I check them. No brake lights. Turn signals yes but no brake lights. So I replaced the switch at the pedal and now I have brake lights but when I go up or down on the turn signal, the brake light on that side will go off. I will do this without the car on. Is it the turn signal switch?

No, you don't understand. If you leave your keys out of the ignition, put your foot on the brake, use the turn signal lever for left or right, that brake light will go out, it won't blink, it will just go out. There is no power to the system for the turn signals to work. Both brake lights should stay on until you put you key in the start position and then right or left side blinker should work, not with no power to the system.

Deputy is right. That is the way that turn/brake circuit works. The turn signal circuit interrupts the brake circuit, without power, the turn signal flasher cannot cycle. End result - no light at all.
