71 Cuda Sunvisor Question
« on: August 28, 2009 - 10:47:24 PM »
I tried to install the sunvisors tonite but they seem to be stuck in one position.  I can swivel them to the sides but they don't want to rotate down, The drivers side is flipped facing forward and the passenger side is correct facing back.  Is there some sort of mechanism inside them that I don't know about.  If I try to pressure them to move I see a sort of bar inside them trying to twist. Before I break anything I thought I would ask.  They are original to the car so I know they are right.  I put the whole darn car together and I am now baffled by the sunvisors, go figure.  Any advice would be appreciated.

there is a spring sleeve inside of the visor that keeps it tight on the shaft, if it will not swivel the sleeve must be rusted / siezed on the shaft , try soaking them with penetrating oil
