Lighten My Load!
« on: July 17, 2010 - 12:23:42 PM »
Hey friends, just wanted to see some recommendations on how I can put my cuda on a diet?  What are some tricks I can do to make the car lighter?

I do not want to replace pannels or anything rediclious like that, just maybe shave a pound or 20 here or there?  Moparal has my car and is building my engine and setting it up for street/strip and I know he knows a lot about these cars so Im super excited about it and just wanted to see what you guys have done to get the led out?

When the car has leaned out with the new, lighter parts,
join Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig for minimum car and driver weight combined!

Yes, aluminum parts are one of the best ways to shave, also going to manual steering helps if you have power.

My dana 60 is actually lighter than my 8 3/4...
Does it have an aluminum housing, or all aluminum??
Who makes these?

Take off the two outer front bumper brackets.Just put bolts in the holes.Like CP said...If there's thick metal reinforcement plates behind the bumpers,Ditch those. Light wheels help a bunch. Most of the time shaving the weight costs the bucks.Always seems to include aluminum.
