Bypassed my dimmer and added a relay to power the dash lights.  Added new bulbs I found on ebay also.  Now this is bright.

How did you go about doing this?? Why is a relay needed, what do I need and how do I hook it up? Looks great :2thumbs:

removing the blue covers & painting inside the reflectors with a chrome silver paint is supposed to make a big difference
This suggestion made a HUGE difference Chryco. I removed my light bar, then removed the blue windows. Painted inside the reflectors with a high metallic content silver wheel paint and then re-installed the light bar. What a difference! I actually need to use the dimmer now! :jumping: Thanks for the tip! :woohoo:

So if you wanted to use a jumper to eliminate the need for the dimmer, how would you jump it? center tan is the power into the dimmer, Should it be jumped to the 2 yellow wired, the two black/black-yellow wires, or all 4 of them?

Thanks.

Black/Yellow stripe to the two yellows. But it will only make a difference if your dimmer is not working properly. At full brightness, your dimmer is effectively a jumper. Of course these 'close to 40 year old' dimmer switches often don't work very well.
