440 Plug wire routing for best appearance
« on: September 29, 2009 - 08:16:19 AM »
Help.  This is my first 440 and with the position/angle of the distributor was wondering the best way to route the plug wires for a clean/neat appearance.  How have you guys done this and what wire looms , if any, have you used?  If anyone has a clean/neat install and could post some pics I'd appreciate it.

The driver's side is where I had trouble making it look neat, since the distributor cap tilts towards the passenger's side. I did use looms.

Mancinis sells a bracket kit to hold all the wires in the correct place on the engine , generally I position #1 wire at about 1 o-clock position on the dist cap this way # 8 sits at 11 o-clock & lays along the right valve cover & the of the even wires are on the poassenger side of the dist cap & 3 of the odd wires are on the drivers side of the cap , this way only 2 wires have to go across the cap .
