I struck gold
« on: September 10, 2009 - 09:29:39 PM »
So I have been going to Alfred State College for automotive and now heavy truck and diesel for 3 years. The campus we go to is just 15 min from the PA boarder. So me and my buddy went for a ride over lunch because we had nothing better to do. Half way there on the left out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a 71 Challenger in the middle of two other cars. So on our way back we stopped to take a peek and happened to be a 72-74 cuda, the 71 challenger and looked like a 70 challenger behind a trailer home. They looked a little beat up, the cuda had the roof cut off and looked like the rear end was smashed up a lil. The place had fresh cut grass and looked like no one lived at the place. I wanted to take a closer look but I didnt want to trespass on someone else's property. So now I have to hunt to find the owner, there was a jeep shop next to the place 300 yards down the road but it was closed today so I couldn't see if they knew who owned them.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how I should go about finding the owner? I talked to my dad and he really wants to get his hands on another Challenger. Ill be rolling around in my challenger tomorrow to see if I can find out.  Hopefully I can get some pics for you guys.

if youre in a 21st century county you can usually look up the owners name online using address or legal description of the property otherwise you can call the local treasurer.  things like the owners name, the assessed value and property taxes are public information. good luck

I would try to use the County Auditor's site for that area. There's usually a name and/or contact info. Good luck!

Found the owner. The shop next door is a Jeep shop. Asked the owner of the place and it belonged to him. Behind the shop was one he was working on, a 70 cuda. he owned one fully restored(showed me a pic, looked awesome). I have his number and now I have to see what he wants to get rid of. He says he is "going to rebuild all of them".
