GREAT lense-refurbishing tech

I did my Challenger with lots of help from CC.com and never saw this info on here, so tought I'd add it. It's from a FORD site I use for my Galaxie (sorry!):

That's good stuff.... I had read a similar article re. newer headlamp lenses.

I THINK IT WAS MUSCLE CAR GARAGE WHERE CHIP FOOSE DID THAT TO A BRAND NEW MUSTANG LIGHTS. I HAVE ALSO HEARD SOME PEOPLE CLEAR THEIR CHROME TOO

I used to own a Scout II years ago. They're notorious for the tail light lenses fading.

One day I got tired of the look so I went to the Hobby shop in Campbell that's got everything under the sun. Bought a small jar of this Ruby transluscent Testors. Reduced it a little with laquer thinner, poured it in a Preval sprayer. Then sprayed the inside lenses.

Worked like a charm.

thats funny I had a 67 scout and one day at a red light i heard honking and the car next to me started complaining that my brakelights were blinding him :roflsmiley:

Used to live there when I was a kid
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
