You guys sure ease my mind a bit. After all that time and money, I wasn't happy with the prospect of having to pull the engine again! I will drive it and wait and see.

with the previous comments , it is too early to e sure you have a problem , all new engines use a bit of oil & tend to run on the hot side as the internal friction is high & the seal of the rings etc in not as good as it will be after 2000 miles or so however excessive oil consumption even in a new engine can be a sign of a problem
