Starting to get "postal"
« on: September 28, 2009 - 02:10:28 PM »
:pullinghair:  I talked with the guy who was selling me his backup 440 freshly built for his drag car....................Yep, he's having second thoughts  :banghead: I was supposed to pic it up last weekend. Although it is not totally out of the realm of possibility it looks rather bleek from my perspective.   :swear:  :swear:  :swear:  :swear:

And also to add to my "postal" mental stability is the way my dropped passes/ interception/fumble/missed field goals Steelers have played the last two weeks. If it isn't the weak offensive line, then the defense takes a break. What the hell is going on out there??!! Oh well, for those of you old enough to remember they went 0-4 in 1976 and then I think won out to win the division, but I'm not holding my breath.

Jim,

You were close. They started 1-4. In the last 9 games, they had 6 shut outs. I would like to see some defense do that now.     As great as the defense was that year, they lost both Franco and Rocky in the blowout victory in the first round of the playoffs over the Baltimore Colts. That left them with no running game against Ken Stabler and the dreaded Raiders.    :crying:

It's O.K Jim we understand.

Maybe it's time to throw in the towel?  :smilielol:

Yeah, who'd of thought the Steelers and Lions would be tied in the standings three weeks into the season?

Bigger surprise so far: the Jets or the Broncos?   :horse:

The 9'rs run 3 run plays near the end zone and fail.
Then that Favre throw at the end of the game.   :banghead:

Sorry Chris................I can't feel happy for ya.  :roflsmiley:  I have this theory that when your (team) skill and performance cost you the game you lost the game, the other team didn't "win" it. Does that makes sense to anyone. So the last two weeks Pittsburgh lost the game, the Bears and Bengals didn't win the game although they got a "W" in the won column. And honestly that is how the Steelers got their "W" against the Titans in week one. So we could easily be 0-3. Not meaning to take away anything from Chicago or Cincy. they hung tough and took advantage of poor play, but I feel they both got a "gift" just like we received one in week one. I'm not too optimistic honestly, we (Steeler fans) may be looking at a very humbling season. Like I've mentioned to MEK (my Steeler/ Mopar buddy) "Don't beat yourself", we have done that the last two weeks.  :banghead:
