E body axles in a B body diff.
« on: October 12, 2009 - 03:57:53 PM »
hey guys,
i'm keen to do the B body diff housing swap on my cuda. to get a bit more clearance for my tires.
just wondering if the E body axles can be shortened enough and work with the shorter B body diff housing?

cheers,
aaron

I wouldn't pay someone to shorten the E body ones when there are so many B body ones out there.

The difference is only 3/4" per axle with the e-body width being 60.70" and the b-body width being 59.20"
You could just move the springs in with dr.diff's spring kit, Move the perches in an inch, then run the 10" wheels with the correct offset. Using  b-body rear ends just keeps me from having to move the perches.
