Heard a .22 cartridge works in a pinch

:bigsmile:Wonder what would happen in a short circuit (high heat) situation?

I was in Canadian Tire looking for glass fuses , they had a good selection but the only way to get 6 20 amp fuses was to buy the assortment pack with 1 of each of 5,10 , 15 ,20 25 & 30 , the didn`thave a single pack of 5-20a fuses even listed

Have you seen the Mythbusters episode?  The .22 round explodes instantly (I think they put it on the horn or headlight circuit).

I hadn't even heard of that episode. I'll have to look for on reruns. I liked the 'fish in a barrel' and under water shooting episodes.

CP, I have lots of 20's. If they are tough to get out west, pm me your addy and I'll send you some.

Hey Guys,

check this place out. I use them for all kinds of electrical do-dads..

http://www.mpja.com/products.asp?dept=145  1/4A - 20A glass fuses, sold in packs of 10 for .99 cents!
"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence. "Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

I saw a blurb in a magazine for adapters that take blade-style fuses and plug into the glass type sockets. Wish I could remember WHERE I saw it!

Here's some info:  http://www.aicorp.us/PDF/AIC%20Flyer%20for%20Fuse%20Adapters%20-%20Updated%201Jun08.pdf

They are about $2 each in quantities of 25 or more: http://www.ai-corp.net/order/Shopping.htm#FA
