torsion bar reassy

Ok, so I managed to save my lower control arm pivot shaft with lots of patience and grade 8 nuts and penetrating oil and am ready to reassy driver front side.  What is best method?  Do I bolt up pivot shaft and control arm stuff and leave supported on jack while I ram the torsion bar (home) from the rear up into the back or do I reassy everything into back of lower control arm (torsion bar) and push it back through under the floorpan seat area and pull forward and tighten up the large 15/16" pivot shaft nut last?  What is the proper order?  I know I'm supposed to grease both places the torsion bar touches and have some red synthetic chassis grease and some "green grease" which was more expensive and supposed to be better to use.  And, any suggestion on pivot shaft bolt torque spec appreciated, felt like at least 140 ft-pounds when I removed it!  Thank you very much for your help, I'll try not be a pest, I'm just not familiar with Mopar assy, this is my first torsion bar wrestling experiment.

Dang good guess..145 Foot Pounds....  The Pivot shaft in it's bushing, then bolt the assymbly to the frame... T-bar with the rubber boot has to go in from the front toward the back, then ram it in the LCA...Tap from the back till the spring clip can be seated.. Then the struggle begins....Where did you get your boot from, if it's a Energy Suspension item like I have...well I don't have a good answer but some heat from a hair dryer was involved

Wade, sent you a PM, but unsure if it'll get to you.  Can you tell me the "rest of the story" according to Paul Harvey regaring torque specs.  Upper ball joint, lower, etc.  I'm out there now, gettin' after it (might as well, haven't been killed by tornado yet and no loose women roaming the neighborhood tonight)....

PIPE WRENCH.  That was all that'd move my hexagonal shape object within the lower control arm assy (see I still speak Chevy and Ford and trying to learn MOPAR).  If I hadn't broke out the pipe wrench I'd still be fighting.  got it all wrapped up and on the tires.  Thank you Wade (Cuz).....now tomorrow I'll tackled hooking up the rear brakes, steering column/steering box in between breaking down the 68 383 I located (w/727).

Well I suppose working on Chebys paid off...Grandaddy always said all you needed to fix a Cheby was a Hammer & a Pipe Wrench.   :rofl:
