BB 727 Tail

I am looking for a long tail for my 727 transmission....I bought a transmission a while back but it has the short tail on it......anyone know of where I can get one or if someone is selling one?  TacTransMan got any?

I think you need more than the housing the shaft inside it also needs changed to a longer one.  :eek4:

I have a whole BB 727 I've been trying to get rid of for a core.maybe I can tear it down and ship you what you need? it is a long TS.

yeah I don't exactly know how to do it but I do have a factory manual  :clueless:

BTW is this for your '73 cuda? 'cause it's a '73 tranny.

You need the output shaft and the extension housing (make sure the housing has the two bosses for the slap stick bracket) The output shaft has to match the front planet splines also.Robert,what year is your core?

sorry, my transmission is burried under the box with my 3" exhaust in in (weighing 80+lbs).  I will look at it today to see what year it is and post the year.....sorry for the delay.... :cheers:
