Best Christmas presents EVER!
« on: December 17, 2011 - 10:58:10 PM »
I've been busy all summer, working like an @$$ to make some money to finally get a shop.  Once I found the place I was finally able to get myself a lift and a bunch of other tools and equipment I've always wanted.  Looks like I'll have a busy winter getting my 72 Challenger squared away for next year.  Then my girlfriend "drags" me to the local Dodge dealership to look at a 2012 Challenger that's in a weird color that she loves.  We spent over a month going over finances, getting a down payment in place and finally took home a Blackberry Pearl 2012 Challenger R/T Classic!  I always told her I wanted a '12 to have the 40th anniversary edition to my'72.  She decided to kick in some money to make my dream come true.  She is the best girlfriend ever.  The down side is now I'm torn between fixing up the '72 or just going for a drive in the '12.  Here is a pic of my 2 presents being used together:

Here is when I first picked it up and brought it to work:

And a couple I took today when I parked next to a Lambo I found in a parking lot:

It's good to be you!   :woohoo:    :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Thanks guys.  Believe it or not, my "other Challenger" is really a 72 convertible.  VIN, body stampings and build details to prove it.  It's not a Mod Squad car it was modified in the '70's (oh those WILD '70's!).  As far as I know, there is NO tuner available for '12s either.  I'm hoping the Right to Repair Act fixes that.  I realize Chrysler wants to cut down on warranty fraud, but I really want to cut down the tread on my rear tires!

And CODY:  It's good to be YOU!  I have a loooong way to go before I bring home anything with an International badge on it!  LOL.

The pic doesn't show the half of the shop.  We currently have 5 vehicles stored to work on, 3 work bays including the lift, and a fab area with a cutting/welding table and some small shop equipment.  It's gonna be a fun winter.
