Engine Mount Question
« on: October 22, 2009 - 07:35:12 AM »
Hello all,
I have a small block 360 in my Chally. My first question is, Can anyone tell me if it matters which way that the bolts go that mount the motor mounts to the engine? From looking at my shop manual it is very hard to tell which way that they go. Does anyone have a diagram that shows the proper installation of the mount to the motor? My second question is, My shop manual is showing a mount with washers and mounts without washers in the motor mount bolts (The bolts that mount the engine to the K member). When I took them out they did not have washers. Are these supposed to have washers? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help always everybody.

I usually have the head of the bolt towards the front but the bolt may not fit between the block ear to make this work , all the factory bolts I have removed had flat washers used with them

Thanks Chryco. The bolt with washer that I was referring to is the single engine mount bolt (One on each side of the motor). I was unsure if these needed washers.
