Drivers side lower shock plate
« on: October 11, 2009 - 02:39:46 PM »
I am in need of a drivers side lower shock plate for my 73 Challenger.  The mounting stud broke off and a replacment bolt/nut was installed.  I need a different plate that has the stud still attached.  I only need the drivers side.  My passengers side mount is still usable.  Let me know what you have...thanks.

I have one, 8 3/4' rear I assume?

There are different kinds though, some have the stud lower than others. Can you take a photo of the good one you have with the end of the stud facing you? I can tell from that if mine is a "match".

I sure can Barry.  Yes, it is an 8 3/4 out of my 73 Challenger.  I'll try and remember to shoot a pic tonight.  Thanks

You are in luck, I have the mate to that. Click on my user name them on my email adress to send me your mailing address. If you can reimburse me for postage that would be great, work has been slow here.

Wow first I heard about 2 different heights on those, just gave away 2 with the bigger offset, thought someone sold me the wrong parts(ebay seller said they were off an ebody)
I eventually got the shorter ones like the pic. Rich.

Awsome Barry, thanks.  I'm sending you an e-mail now.  Of coarse I'll pay for shipping.

Do you have any pictures of the plates with the other offset?  Were those used on the T/A's?

No photos of them saved that I remember, but they are obviously different if you see them.

There are some folks out there that say the deaper ones came on AARs & T/As due to the leaf springs with the deaper arch, but all of the original cars I have checked so far have the shallow style like yours. (mine too)
