440 Turnover
« on: December 03, 2009 - 10:34:48 PM »
I've rebuilt a 440 about a year ago, and it will not turn over.  It will not turn over with the battery, and a 100 Amp starter attached to it.  I tried removing the plugs, then putting that purple oil stuff down the cylenders, then croil.  I tried a breaker bar with a pipe on the end of it, and still nothing.
Any advice?
Thanks

Looks like you might have to tear it down and find out what is seizing it up. I'm guessing moisture in the cylinders?  Where did you have it and did it turn over when you finished assembling it?
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Could be hydro-locked. Did you try turning it over with all the spark plugs out?
