1972 Challenger Vent Knob Question

Hello,

My 1972 Challenger has a broken vent knob and I'm wondering if this specific part can be replaced vs. the entire vent cable.  I've found replacement vent cables with a new knob, but I'd rather only replace the knob, since my cable works fine.

Any ideas?

you need a whole vent cable , the knobs are unfortunatly molded on

I have a related vent cable question: do all 1972 Challengers have 2 vent cables with 1 for driver and 1 for the passenger side?  I only see one on my car and I'm wondering if that's possible for if it is missing altogether.

alll non AC cars have 2 cables & should have round knobs not the rectangular knobs used in 70 only ,from 71-74 all had round knobs & are generally easier to locate
