Interchangability?
« on: October 30, 2009 - 06:14:19 PM »
Going tomorrow morning to look at whats supposed to be 72 Newport with a 400. I'm primarily looking for some brackets, pulleys, etc. Just wondering if there's anything else that might be useable on my 73 Cuda with a 440-like wiper motor, radiator, a/c stuff etc? :dunno:

some of the ac brackets will work cept a b engine and rb engine have a couple of mounting brackets different. I'd grab all I could. Hoses can be shortened. The rad may be too big, but can be made to work if need be. The water pump housing on the 400 may exit on the pass side instead of drivers side. spare alt and starter is good, trans if you can, volt reg, elec box, wiper motor can be clocked to work, master cyl,  engine mounts, heck buy the whole engine and trans. even may have an 8 3/4 with a 276/323 center. 11 inch rear brakes
