Alternator Spacer
« on: October 28, 2009 - 11:55:04 PM »
This is probably an odd request - but I need the spacer that goes between the mounting lugs of the alternator.  Its about 2.5 inches long.  440 R/T challenger.  Cannot find a piece of steel pipe the right size to make one.

Thanks - Dan

You won't find pipe, but 5/8" round bar stock drilled through at 13/32" will work.

Email me on Monday if no one else has one and I'll make one for you.

Thanks Brooks for the info - I could do it, but dont have a drill press so I may take you up on your generous offer.  The e-bay spacer is Stainless and I dont think the cars came from the factory with stainless and I am trying my best to bring this car back to orginal.  I will keep looking and will let you know Brooks if need to get your help.

I really don't think you'd enjoy that process on a drill press...
