70 door latch mods

Neil (CP) walked me through this and suggested I create a post for other members. So here it is.
Have you noticed that on the passenger side you can't lock the door from the inside and close the door and have it stayed locked. You have to lock from the outside with the key.
If you want to here is a modification to cure that. Remove the tab or bend it out of the way as shown in the picture. Tab is (was) in front of the hole shown. The latch on the left is stock the other is modified.

Its funny (timming wise) as my daughter and I where just talking about this issue today, while i was out working on my car.
